The "Soo" to Blind River July 8/14

No pictures of the famous, to me, "Velorution" bike shop this morning due to rain. We had scoped out a bakery the night before a couple of blocks away that the guys at the bike shop recommended and made our way there only to find it was closed on Tuesdays. So looking forward to a coffee and a pastry. Time to get moving. We had a 140k to burn up to get to our destination of the day, Blind River. We took the shops recommended route out of Sault Saint Marie and found ourselves on quiet rural roads passing through Mennonite farming communities.

In Ontario I think they shoot bad drivers. They have this sign of a swerving car with what looks to be shotgun pellet holes around it.

I stopped at a U-Pick strawberry field and picked a pound and a half to eat later for a $1.50. Hard to beat that. It took me all of three minutes to pick. No pesticides or herbicides.
