Orillia to Halliburton July 14/14

After a couple of nights without much sleep (Torontonians like to head to the lakes and party the weekends) we decided to take a site in a provincial park yesterday. Ouch! $39.55! There was a lake to swim in. Lake Simcoe. It had showers. And most of all, it was quiet. So I got my good night's sleep. Was it worth $40? That's up for debate.

We were up early and got a head start on the heat and humidity that never developed. It was cool and dry. Perfect for cycling.

One of the things missing in rural Ontario is good coffee. Out in the middle of nowhere we come across a bakery/coffee shop called Quaker Oaks. The coffee was strong and rich unlike the stuff you can see through everywhere else in Ontario and the baked goods had me back in the shop for a second helping.

Getting into Halliburton had is scoping out a stealth spot for the night. We found a great spot and waited for late evening to set up camp. It's right next to the lake in the down town area. Pictures in the morning.
