Today is Saturday 14th. Since leaving BC for Alberta we have battled very strong headwinds. Yesterday, we could only make it from Lethbridge to Bow Island due to a very strong headwind coming out of the North East. The same thing happened today but with much stronger winds and rain. It got to be a dangerous situation on the highway so we bailed in the "Hat", Medicine Hat that is, completing only 60k. We booked a cheap motel to dry our stuff out and rest up. I watched a little bit of the weather channel to see what it was we had rode through and found it was a severe system complete with funnel clouds spotted in the area. It looks like tomorrow has better weather in store for us. With the wet weather I couldn't take my phone out to take pictures today and only a few the previous day. I took picture of the clouds in the distance thinking it just might be a system we would get a little wet from but I had no idea how wet.
