Today was a short ride day at about 50kms. I ended the day doing an extra 15kms taking secondary roads closer to the shoreline. I'm glad I did because I came across a cove, Whale Cove that is, with a beautiful sandy beach with good size waves you had to dive through or get slammed. I stopped with about 20kms left to Cheticamp and had lobster for dinner. Fresh Lobster from the boat is not going to happen as it's out of season. Fresh frozen it will be.
It was sunny and warm when I entered the restaurant and dark and windy apon exit. Lightning strikes were flashing close by so it was time to get a move on. And move I did. I was holding speeds between 40-45kms/hr. It was the mythical tailwind I had been waiting for the whole trip. You here about 50kms/hr tailwinds in the prairies and people covering huge distances in a single day. This wind had the potential to do so. It was literally a "Blast" covering the 20kms to Cheticamp.
